Full Mouth Dental Implants in OKC

If you are missing most or all of your teeth, full mouth dental implants offer a long-lasting solution that restores both function and appearance. Unlike traditional dentures, implant-supported restorations are designed to stay securely in place, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

Full mouth dental implants can replace an entire upper arch, lower arch, or both, providing a stable foundation for natural-looking replacement teeth.

What Are Full Mouth Dental Implants?

Full mouth dental implants use multiple dental implants placed in the jawbone to support a complete set of replacement teeth. These implants act as artificial tooth roots, anchoring your restoration securely and helping maintain jawbone health over time.

Treatment is customized based on your oral health, bone structure, and personal goals, ensuring a solution that fits both your lifestyle and long-term needs.

Ball Attachment Denture

One option is to have two implants placed in your lower jaw and a denture made that snaps onto these implants. This option allows your lower denture to be more stable while chewing than without implants. However, there will still be movement of your lower denture, and sore spots will occur if any food particles, especially seeds, are caught under it. As with all removable replacement teeth, you still will need periodic appointments for denture adjustment.

Bar Attachment Denture

With this option, a custom bar connects multiple implants and the denture securely clips into place. Bar-supported overdentures provide excellent stability while still allowing for removal when needed.

Screw Retained Denture

Screw-retained dentures are fixed restorations supported by multiple implants and are not removable by the patient. These restorations feel most like natural teeth and offer maximum stability and comfort.

Individual Implants

For patients seeking the most natural appearance and function, each missing tooth can be replaced with its own dental implant and crown. This approach typically requires sufficient bone and a greater number of implants but delivers highly realistic results.

Full Mouth Dental Implants for the Upper and Lower Jaw

Both the upper and lower jaws can be restored with full mouth dental implants. Because the upper jaw typically has softer bone, additional implants may be recommended for optimal support. Implant-supported restorations in the upper jaw can also eliminate the need for bulky denture coverage, improving comfort and taste sensation.

Implant Retained Upper Denture

Depending upon the number of implants to be placed, it may be possible to eliminate the need for covering the roof of your mouth with a complete denture. This option allows you to fully taste your food and gives you a better sense of its temperature. Your denture will feel more natural. You will still have a removable denture, which makes cleaning the support bar and denture much easier.

Individual Upper Dental Implants

Individual Upper Implants

If you want a restoration that is similar to your natural teeth and therefore not removable, you probably will need eight to ten individual implantsplaced. This is followed after healing by the placement of the abutments and new replacement crowns.
